Favorite Makeup Products

I’ve been planning to post this for quite some time, so I’m happy I finally have gotten around to doing it! Many of you ask about my favorite makeup products, and I have a variety of them that I switch out every once in a while. This post is a cumulative list of the products I know and love, some that I’m currently wearing and some that I rotate depending on the time of year. I’ll update this list as I find new products!

PRIMER

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer: This primer is newer to me, but I’m HOOKED. I use the radiance version for a little bit of a glow, but it really keeps my foundation in place all day. They have a regular, tinted, and hydrating version too!

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Hydrating Primer: Before my new found love for Laura Mercier, this was my go-to primer! I like that there’s a variety of options for your skin type, including mattifying, hydrating, nourishing, and more.

FOUNDATION

*I apply ALL of my foundation with a Beauty Blender. I have a few brushes I like too, but I always go back to the blender!)

It Cosmetics CC Cream: This is my favorite foundation for the summer time because it provides the perfect amount of coverage without feeling heavy. I use the shade Light, and occasionally use Medium depending on how much sun I get in the summertime (which I try to avoid!).

BareMinerals BarePro in Golden Ivory: I started using this foundation a few months ago, and it’s truly a long wearing foundation. It lasts all day without budging! It’s buildable, too, but you have to be careful when applying because it can look a bit heavy if you over do it.

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation in 117: One of my favorites, this foundation was my go-to for years! I still love it, but I’ve been experimenting with others lately. I love wearing this one when I have events or I’m being photographed. It’s the perfect amount of coverage and never feels heavy.

Estee Lauder Double Wear in Ecru: Another amazing long wearing foundation, Double Wear is similar to Bare Pro but better in my opinion. It never looks too heavy and gives a flawless finish. My only complaint is the bottle! I wish it came with a pump.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Long-Wear Foundation: This foundation is newer to me, but worth mentioning. It gives beautiful coverage, but does not last as long as Double Wear or Bare Pro. However, it never looks heavy, making it a great option.

Jane Iredale PurePressed Foundation: This is hands down my favorite natural foundation. I was introduced to Jane Iredale in the summer of 2017 and I absolutely love it! It’s great for moms who want a quick 2 minute face because it provides amazing coverage and FAST. I prefer to apply it with the Flocked Sponge.

CORRECTOR

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Bisque: I love this corrector because it comes in a variety of colors for your skin tone. I went to a Bobbi Brown counter years ago, which is how I found my color, and I’ve been using it on and off for years. A little goes a long way!

CONCEALER

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye: This has been my holy grail for quite some time now. I love the coverage it gives, that it’s anti-aging, AND that it’s waterproof! I go back and forth between Light and Medium depending on the time of year. Blending it with a beauty blender is KEY.

Tarte Shape Tape in Light Sand: I recently picked up this cult favorite concealer because I was having FOMO, and I’m hooked! It’s definitely not as thick as It Cosmetics but it gives awesome coverage and brightens the under eye area beautifully.

SETTING POWDER

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder: This has been a favorite for quite some time, specifically the loose powder version (the pressed powder is NOT the same, even when I use a brush to apply). I love that it gives your pores a flawless look and it’s super lightweight.

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder: I recently switched over to this translucent powder which is another great option. It’s a little heavier than It Cosmetics, but I like the finish it gives.

BRONZER

Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Bronzer: This has been my go-to bronzer for a while now, specifically the matte version. I’m not a huge fan of shimmer unless it’s a little highlight or in a blush. I definitely don’t like my bronzer to have shimmer because I feel like it looks fake and not sun kissed. This one is waterproof too, so it stays on all day!

Bobbi Brown Bronzer: I’ve actually used this bronzer longer than the Tarte version, for the same reason in that it’s not shimmery and stays true to your skin tone! Bronzer is not a one-size fits all product, and I like that there’s a variety of color options with this one. It’s pricier, but a little goes a long way.

BLUSH

It Cosmetics Confidence in Your Glow in Nude Glow: This is what you see me wearing daily! I like that it gives a little glow without overdoing it. It comes in other colors, too, but Nude Glow is my favorite.

Nars Blush in Orgasm: My go-to when I want a little color on my cheeks! Especially in the summer. This blush looks good on everyone, I swear.

BROWS

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown: HOLY GRAIL. Yes, my brows are micro bladed, but they fade! I pencil them in with this pencil because it’s the best ever. I like that it’s super slim and gives me a lot of control.

EYESHADOW

Bobbi Brown in Bone: My favorite for balancing out my eyelid, this neutral, flesh toned color is perfection. I put it all over my eyelid, from lash line to brow!

Urban Decay in Foxy: Another great flesh-toned color, I like this just to balance out my eyelid.

Urban Decay Darkhorse: I’ll use this color to line my upper and lower lash lines because I don’t love a harsh eyeliner. I prefer a smudgy, smoked look overall, so I always use this or another light brown over my gel liner on my top lash line and then again on my lower lash line.

Tarte’s Tartelette Matte Palette: I’m not huge on eyeshadows, but when I have to go somewhere I usually pull out this palette. I don’t like how shimmery shadows look on my eyes, and I love that this palette is all matte shadows in an array of beautiful neutral colors. They stay put fairly well, too.

EYELINER

L’Oreal Gel Liner in Espresso: Another product I’ve used for year, I LIGHTLY line my top lash line with this and then smudge it out with a brown shadow. It helps my liner stay all day. I use the color Espresso, which is a really dark brown.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Waterproof Eyeliner in Black: I prefer the way my eyes look when I line my water line, but I dealt with runny liner for years! This has been the only eyeliner that DOESN’T run throughout the day. I line my top and bottom waterline with it.

MASCARA

(I do not wear lash extensions…they kind of freak me out a bit! I’ve never had them done, but I hear horror stories all the time and also hear they’re high maintenance. And I just can’t deal with that. Maybe someday, but I’m happy just using mascara for now!)

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: This was my first holy grail mascara before I met the next one. It’s still a favorite because I love the length and volume it gives me without looking too heavy.

Lancôme Monsieur Big: My current favorite! I LOVE this stuff. It lengthens, gives volume, and looks like fake lashes without being overdone. It’s the BEST!
